Hate it, love it but you certainly can’t ignore it!!

Hate it, love it but you certainly can’t ignore it. Yes, I am talking about the much talked about Valentine’s Day. Frankly, I really love Valentine’s Day. I guess it’s fine to be cheesy on one day amongst the 365 days in an year. In my early 20’s my definition of love and love story changed every year.

I am a big fan of romantic movies and every time I watched a movie I thought about my love story in Filmy style (I know I sound cheesy here, but it’s valentines week effect)

Dil Toh Paagal Hain: Every year when the clock ticks 12 on the Valentine’s  night I look away from my window in search of my Valentine. The same way Madhuri searched for her Valentine and found Shahrukh humming that special Valentine jingle in front of her window. However, to my dismay when I open the window all I could hear was barking dogs or honking dogs (sorry men)

Padosan: This Kishore Kumar starter movie has always been my all time favorite movie. For those who don’t know, in the movie Sunil Dutt falls in love with his neighbor (padosan) Saira Banu. I always dreamt of finding my man, the next door. However, the guy at the next door was always occupied with the hot girl next door…

Kuch Kuch Hota Hain: After watching this KJo flick, I thought I will definitely find my Rahul in college who would be my friend, best friend and then my fiance. But soon I realized that I wasn’t the hot and sexy Tina but a tun tun.

French Kiss: Meg Ryan, who is scared of flight, travels all the way to Paris to bring back the love of her life, and on the way she meets her soulmate. Every time I boarded a flight I thought this time I will definitely find “The One”. But as all the other attempts this too was futile.

Late 20’s: Again I have a new definition of love. A definition that I understood watching the numerous couples around me.
Love for me is to have good conversations. Just to sit with you and talk. The topics could be about love, life, movies, politics, anything and everything. We just sit together under the moonlight sipping a cup of coffee or drinking a pint of beer in a crowded pub. To speak whatever comes to mind without fear. To argue, to laugh, to drink and to agree to disagree.

loved it 🙂 it was funny witty and serious to end with, I too believe love is nothing fancy ,dreamy or passionate, those temporary feelings just go away, it is in simplicity and finding beauty and happiness in our everyday tussles, tears, carings ,hugs ,laughter and kisses 🙂
